Commonly referred to as “skunk beads”, these beautiful African trade beads are of Venetian origin. Beads such as these are said to have been made in the 19th century and sent to Africa for trading. In their lifetime, they have traveled at least three continents and passed through countless hands before making their way to us. This special strand includes beads that are blue and opaque white, as well as black and opaque white, both of which are extremely rare varieties. Please pay attention and you will notice this is an unusually long strand measuring 45 inches in length and including approximately 100 beads! Each strand is unique. Yours will be very similar to the strand pictured. Some beads may be chipped due to age. Limited supply available.
